Atherion Software LLC formed to address new threats to PC users.
Sanford, FL, July 3, 2008 — Atherion Software, LLC, is a new company that provides cutting edge identity protection software as well as computer optimization software to general consumers. Atherion was founded by former Aluria Software members and other industry veterans.
“We’re all terribly excited to work together in this new company. We’ve had extensive dealings with one another in previous companies, so this was a natural match,” said Jamie Southworth (f. Garrison), co-founder of Atherion Software. “As the founder of Aluria Software, I’ve worked closely with many security and utility vendors over the years, but nothing comes close to the level of ambition and energy here.”
“I’ve spent the last couple years looking for the next class of dangers to users and their PCs to emerge. We have identified these dangers, and we’ve formed Atherion to provide new solutions to these new threats,” said Matthew Henne, co-founder of Atherion. Atherion’s products will focus on identity protection, PC optimization, and virtualization.
Atherion’s core founders have extensive backgrounds in coding, sales, marketing, support, and operations, giving them a key advantage in entering a crowded security market. Atherion plans to launch with optimization products, closely followed by identity protection solutions. The target audience will initially be general consumers, and then move to include the SOHO and enterprise markets in 2009.
